The LA-In-a-Day Fashion Show was created in 2011 by Kia Hudson of Keep it Jazzy Events. It allows audiences to view and experience apparel for the board room, the beach, after work hours, and elegant evenings. Designed to fill a void in the industry, LA-in-a-Day serves as a platform for promoting urban trendsetters and fashionistas.

"From urban lifestyle to bohemian chic, the LA-in-a-Day Fashion Show triumphantly bridges a gap that is so especially apparent in the industry: inadequate representation. The phenomenon of non-black people adopting elements of black culture and black creativity has been prevalent for ages, and the robbery has unquestionably trickled into fashion.
LA-in-a-Day challenges mainstream appropriation and exclusion, and tastefully showcases a plethora of African-American fashion trailblazers." - Tre Melvin (Top YouTuber) |
